My Bio
This year I teach a multi-age classroom of seventh and eighth graders Social Studies. I have my Masters Degree in Education from Portland State University and Pacific University and have taught for over twenty nine years for Beaverton Schools and Portland Public Schools. I am certified Highly Qualified by the State of Oregon to teach Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies. I have had the pleasure of teaching Middle School students for the majority of my career, but have also experienced Junior English, and Fourth and Fifth grade. This is my 15th year at da Vinci Arts Middle School, and I'm so excited and honored to teach in such a positive and innovative environment. I am married to my high school sweetheart of 37 years and have two daughters who have attended Portland Public Schools (both who are da Vinci alumni). I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, and watching my youngest daughter Irish dance and run Track/Cross Country.
